About Sandra

Sandra completed her Masters in Nutrition at Deakin University. She has worked in the field of nutrition for a number of years and has developed extensive knowledge of effective weight loss techniques and nutritional needs for athletes, allergies/intolerances and general health and wellness. Sandra's degree in sports science adds an extra dimension to the science behind nutritional plans developed in conjunction with the individuals lifestyle and exercise regimes.  She is a registered practitioner with Complementary Medicine Association. 

Sandra's supportive nature creates a encouraging and positive environment to inspire you to achieve your personal goals. 

She emphasises a holistic approach to diet and exercise and offers clientele a rounded approach to weight loss or lifestyle changes integrating the clients’ personal needs into the food/lifestyle plan. She believes that knowledge is the key to permanent lifestyle changes and improvements. Sandra discusses the confusion regarding food, weight loss, portion sizes and food labels in the media. Therefor, she emphasises that a component of each clients' nutrition journey is dedicated to education. 

Sandra's background as a successful marathon runner adds to her understanding of the importance of optimal nutritional intake for weight loss for sporting achievements and general health. She too has practiced the skills of commitment, balance and moderation throughout her life to achieve her goals and is passionate about passing these on to her clients. 

 

Sandra believes in using a combination of anthropometric measurements, body composition analysis via bioelectrical impedance and diet/lifestyle recall to monitor and analyse progress in clients.
